Damian is an experienced Associate at Pacific Legal Network, specializing in cross-border financing, mergers and acquisitions, and advising financial institutions in emerging markets across the Pacific region. Damian also heads up our London Representative Office, overseeing the network's global presence.

In his role, Damian has successfully advised major financial institutions, including ANZ, Westpac, Bred Banque, and Bank of South Pacific. He has also collaborated with international organizations such as MIGA, IFC, and Millennium Challenge Corporation. Damian's expertise extends to conducting due diligence across various jurisdictions for vendors, purchasers, financiers, and regulators.

Additionally, Damian has handled novel legal aspects, including emerging financial assets and diplomatic privileges. He takes pride in building meaningful relationships across the Pacific and Asia Pacific regions, emphasizing on-the-ground engagement to deeply understand clients' needs.​

Damian takes great pride in engaging with businesses and people across the Pacific Islands and the broader Asia Pacific region, having obtained on-the-ground experience working with clients and key stakeholders.

 

Most recently, Damian obtained a Master of Laws (International Law Specialisation) from the University of New South Wales. Damian’s studies focussed on green financing modalities and their impact on Pacific big ocean states, the integration of indigenous custom into international environmental law, and trade and investment laws across the Pacific.
