Tomasi gained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Tasmania, Australia, in 1996. He then obtained a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Australian Capital Territory and the High Court of Australia in 1997. He was admitted to the High Court of Fiji on 23 April 1998. 

He has over 22 years of legal experience – and has done a large variety of work including commercial transactional work, advisory work and conveyancing. He has also advised/litigated in the areas of insurance, personal injury, construction law, commercial disputes, defamation, property, employment, family/estate disputes and creditors' remedies. Tomasi also does criminal and family legal work for a select number of clients.

 

Tomasi has also been recognized by Chambers & Partners for General Business Law - Fiji.

 

He is the past President of the Defence Club and is a current Board Member of the Fiji Society for the Blind. He is also a current Board Member of the Mining Appeals Board. Tomasi is also the Honorary Consul of Canada to the Republic of Fiji.

 

​He enjoys spending his spare time with his family and friends and also considers himself a bit of a sportsman. He plays soccer with the Hasbeens soccer club, rugby with the Suva Golden Oldies rugby club and golf with the Pirates golf club.
