Lot.1 Sydney

It is the beautiful clean lines of the magnificent carpentry work that strikes you as you first walk into Lot 1 Sydney. The 1878 sandstone warehouse located opposite our offices on York Street in the Sydney CBD has been immaculately fitted out; clearly not a dollar spared. The baby of Adelaide Chef Adam Swanson, the space has been beautifully created with exposed sandstone walls, ironbark timbers and features an incredible spiral woodwork sculpture; apparently representing the swirls of coffee creama.

Lucky for Lot 1 Sydney it is not just a pretty face. Boasting three levels divided between a restaurant, an Espresso Bar and soon to open cocktail bar (downstairs), Lot 1 Sydney is just what York Street has been missing. It is the Espresso Bar that team PLN has been enjoying on a weekly basis. During the day it flaunts itself as a hip new café, with coffee and food as good as that wooden sculpture. Boy oh boy we love our coffee, but we like beer and wine even more, so you can imagine our excitement discovering that the Espresso Bar at Lot 1 Sydney has begun hosting apertivo hour from 5pm daily. Complimentary Italian snacks fill the bar, which are delicious and compliment the carefully curated wine list with a focus on Italian wines. Beer drinkers will also be pleased with the boutique beer selection. Our conclusion: Lot 1 Sydney is a welcome addition to the Sydney drinking and dining scene. The food is delicious, the fit out incredible, the service amazing and there is more to come with the soon to open basement level.
